By Definition.... NETWORKING: An extended group of people with similar interests or concerns who interact and remain in informal contact for mutual assistance or support.

The OKC Outdoor Network is just that... a "Networking Group" of people with similar interests who interact and remain in informal contact for mutual assistance or support As a Networking Organization we operate quite differently than what most other club's would.

Most clubs either have a Board of Directors with numerous people on the board filling many positions such as President, Vice President, Outings Chairman, Social Chairman and numerous other positions and whatever is done in the club is initiated first by the officers and then what they decide is passed down to the membership
as an activity, meeting or outing.

The OKC Outdoor Network has a much flatter structure
and everything that is done in the OKC-ON is started at the membership level
by OKC-ON Members themselves and not by anyone higher up

Upon Joining the OKC-ON you can start posting here on Ning
about any "Outdoor Related" activity or outing of your choosing and run with it....

Although, postings dealing with your profit generating business will be deleted
and your membership cancelled!

...The various Groups are listed on the left.
If one or more groups interest you then "Click On" the Group to select it
and then on the upper right of that Groups page there is a "JOIN" Link.
Just click on that link and you will be a member of that group
and will (depending on your email settings) receive notificaitons
about any "on going" discussions within that group!

Email - There are several ways you can choose to receive email (or not) from postings on this site and you have the option to break it down by catagory (Group) and have it set up where you receive email from only specific catagories

Or...you can set it up where you do not receive any email
on any of the postings...on this site!

You can also select "No Email"
and then subscribe to the RSS Feed...for updates..

TO START Click on Settings
and then on the next page on the left column you will see a link for email.
